Fingoweb is now an AWS partner at Select Tier. It’s a formal step for a team that already runs production infrastructure on AWS, including the digital signage platform that about 15,000 media players connect to every day. Below we explain what the status means, what an AWS partner actually does on a project, and how to judge any partner before you hire one. We’ll also be upfront about what Select Tier doesn’t tell you.

What is an AWS Select Tier partner?

AWS runs a partner program called the AWS Partner Network. To join, a company signs in to the AWS console and completes registration in AWS Partner Central. From there it can move up through the tiers by meeting higher requirements.

There are three named tiers, Select, Advanced and Premier, and Select is the first. Here’s how they compare.

TierWhat it signals
SelectTrained and certified people, plus first customer experience on AWS
AdvancedA larger certified technical team and proven customer work
PremierLeaders in their markets, with deep technical expertise validated across several AWS partner programs
AWS partner tiers at a glance

Read the tier for what it is. Select Tier shows trained, certified people and real customer work on AWS. It says nothing about company size, and we won’t pretend otherwise.

AWS publishes the exact requirements for each tier, such as how many certified people a partner needs and how much customer work it has to show. They change over time, so check the current numbers before you compare two partners.

Why did Fingoweb join the AWS Partner Network?

The short answer is that AWS is already where part of our work happens. The clearest example is TCAdvert, a digital signage platform for IMS Sensory Media, a company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. We took care of the server infrastructure, AWS optimization and hosting.

The scale is what makes it more than routine hosting. About 15,000 media players connect to the platform every day from more than 10,000 locations, and together they send tens of millions of log entries daily. The application is a Laravel app on Amazon ECS with AWS Fargate, running on ARM64 AWS Graviton processors.

Architecture of the TCAdvert API on AWS

Two problems stood out. Autoscaling kept adding Fargate tasks because the application rebooted on every request, and searching the logs of a single player took ten seconds or more. Here’s how the numbers looked after the work.

  • 57% fewer Fargate tasks serving the API at the same traffic
  • Device API response time (p95) down from about 350 ms to about 90 ms
  • Log search in about 0.5 seconds instead of ten seconds or more
  • Logging system migrated with no data loss and no impact on platform availability

Part of the work was moving from Apache and PHP-FPM to FrankenPHP with Laravel Octane. We also replaced Grafana Loki with VictoriaLogs, fed by an OpenTelemetry pipeline. You can read the full story in our TCAdvert case study, and the engineering details in FrankenPHP in production on AWS.

Our AWS work is done by two in-house DevOps engineers who hold AWS certifications. The platform sits next to the digital signage software we build, and our guide to cloud-based digital signage software covers that side.

What does an AWS partner do for your project?

Infrastructure work comes down to a few repeatable jobs. This is how we split them.

ServiceWhen you need itWhat you get
Infrastructure and cost auditYour AWS bill grows faster than your trafficA report covering architecture, server configuration, autoscaling, databases, logs and vendor invoices, with recommendations, estimated savings per item and a suggested order of implementation
MigrationYou’re moving from in-house servers, a VPS or another cloudA staged move. Where data can’t be recreated, the old and new environments run side by side until the new one is checked on real traffic
Infrastructure design and setupA new product or a rebuild needs hosting that can scaleInfrastructure designed around your expected load
Monitoring and loggingYou can’t tell why the system is slow or who it affectsLogging and observability built on OpenTelemetry
Security and backupsNobody has tested how you would recover from a failureBackup and security setup as part of the infrastructure
What AWS infrastructure work covers

The cost conversation usually starts with a number. Flexera’s 2026 State of the Cloud report puts estimated wasted cloud spend at 29%, the first increase in five years, based on a global survey of more than 750 cloud decision-makers. AWS cost optimization starts with an audit, not with a discount tool. In TCAdvert, part of the waste came from how the application behaved, so the fix began in the code and the autoscaling settings, not in a billing dashboard.

AWS DevOps services follow the same logic, because the useful question is what gets measured before the change and after it. The full scope is on our server management and cloud infrastructure page.

How do you choose an AWS partner?

A tier is one signal among several. Whoever you shortlist, ask these questions.

  • Which tier are they on, and what does it require? AWS keeps its own directory, the AWS Partner Solutions Finder, where you can look a partner up.
  • Who does the work? Ask whether the engineers on your project are employees, and which AWS certifications they hold.
  • Can they show a comparable project with numbers? Before and after figures, like response times or resource counts, tell you more than a logo.
  • What do they measure first? A good audit ends with prioritized changes and estimated savings, not just a bigger server.
  • How do they handle data that can’t be recreated? A migration plan should keep both environments running until the new one is proven.
  • What happens after the project? Ask who monitors the system and who you call when something breaks.

Where Select Tier sits among the AWS partner tiers

Select Tier is a starting point, not a trophy. It shows that Fingoweb has trained, certified people and customer work on AWS, and the TCAdvert numbers show what that looks like in a real system. If you want an outside look at your own AWS setup, leave your email below and we’ll get back to you.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AWS Select Tier partner?

It's a company in the AWS Partner Network at the first of three named tiers, Select, Advanced and Premier. According to AWS, Select means trained and certified people plus customer experience on AWS.

What are the AWS partner tiers?

Select, Advanced and Premier. The higher the tier, the more certified people and documented customer work a partner needs. AWS publishes the current thresholds and changes them over time, so check them before you compare partners.

How do I find an AWS partner?

Start with AWS's own directory, the AWS Partner Solutions Finder. Once you have a short list, ask each partner for references from projects of a similar scale.

What are the requirements to become an AWS partner?

You sign in to the AWS console and complete registration in AWS Partner Central. Moving up a tier adds further requirements, which AWS lists on its partner pages.
